Driven by a passion for herbal medicine and a deep desire to help others, scientist Phương Dung has dedicated her entire life to researching safe and root-cause-focused solutions for improving health.

She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Scientist Phuong Dung received a government scholarship to study in the United States. In 1999, she completed the “International Executive Development Program for Vietnamese Managers” at the University of California, Riverside. She declined attractive offers from major corporations to return to Vietnam and pursue her 25-year plan.

She devoted most of her time to researching Vietnamese herbs, striving to create a health care product that is completely different from existing ones on the market and offers sustainable effectiveness.

Her research project on Alkaline Herbal Medicine officially began with the collaboration of Professor Dr. Dai Duy Ban.

September 18, 2024: Ms. Phuong Dung officially received the exclusive patent certificate after many years of research, proudly naming Saphia Alkaline Herbal. At the same time, she was honored with an honorary doctorate from the American International University.

March 19, 2025: Saphia Alkaline Herbal officially established a strategic partnership with UB General Trading FZC – a leading financial group headquartered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aiming to expand into international markets in 26 countries.

Affirmation of the ownership of the manufacturing process of Alkaline Herbal Formulation and the product derived from this process belongs to Ms. Nguyễn Thị Chung (also known as Nguyễn Phương Dung)

After nearly two decades of tireless research and dedication, in September 2020, scientist Nguyễn Phương Dung officially submitted a patent application. Over the course of four years, she participated in numerous meetings with leading scientists and experts to defend her research. On September 18, 2025, she was officially granted Patent Certificate No. 41442 by the Intellectual Property Office for the “Manufacturing Process of Alkaline Herbal Formulation and the Product Derived from This Process”—a formulation with a high, gentle pH effective in inhibiting viral development.
This affirms her pioneering role in scientific research and the exceptional quality of the first and only alkaline herbal product in Vietnam.
